Meet the team

Michelle Livingston – Chair

Michelle is the founder and Managing Director of a social enterprise called Real Partners, based in the East Midlands. Real Partners helps community-based organisations improve performance through effective and focused leadership and organisation development. The company also provides innovative solutions and programmes in strategy development, change programme design, high performance teams, innovation and creative thinking.

Michelle has been a Non-Executive Director of CityCare Partnerships. CityCare is a staff-led social enterprise that provides healthcare across the East Midlands and employs over 1500 dedicated health professionals.

Michelle began her career in human resources management with Boots before specialising in leadership and strategy development; she has held a number of senior management roles within large organisations delivering to the public and private sectors.

A creative and challenging social entrepreneur with comprehensive experience in implementing behavioural change, developing strategy aligned to business goals and managing projects within fast-paced, multi-site businesses. A skilled leadership coach and business mentor with experience of building multidimensional partnerships and supporting individuals and teams to achieve new levels of performance.

Jez Alcock – Chief Executive

Jez Alcock was appointed CEO of Healthwatch Nottinghamshire in September 2015. Jez previously worked for Barnardo's as Deputy Director, Children's Services (Midlands region); as the Special Adviser to the Chief Executive and has held senior leadership roles in Marketing and Fundraising. Jez has broad experience of working within the voluntary and community sector; specifically around children and family services

Becky Whittaker – Outreach and Engagement Officer

Becky is our Outreach and Engagement Officer and will focus on the voice of the seldom heard across Nottinghamshire.

Deb Morton – Interim Volunteer Manager

Deb is responsible for recruiting, training and supporting all of our Healthwatch volunteers across the County.

Hester Kapur – Evidence and Insight Project Manager

Hester Kapur is the Evidence and Insight Project Manager for Healthwatch Nottinghamshire and Nottingham. She is responsible for collecting, analysing, reporting and speaking out about the views and concerns of the population. Hester’s experience includes setting up, managing and evaluating community health projects for Lincolnshire County Council, Chairing Medsin UK and assessing needs, designing and evaluating health project worldwide for the EU, Oxfam and MSF. She is passionate about ensuring people are heard, treated fairly and that quality research is delivered which influences service improvement

Kerry Pickaver – Project Administrator

Kerry Pickaver has taken up the role of Project Administrator.
Kerry will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the administration of the company and to act as the hub for information coming into and out of the organisation.

Nathan Hutchinson – PR & Communications Worker
